Presence

 

The arts must lead to Presence, otherwise they have no value for either the viewer of the listener.

Presence is not negative, not indignant, not irreverent. Presence does not think of itself as important. Presence reaches itself and sustains itself by avoiding these pitfalls.

Whenever you express a negative emotion, you trade something great (your soul) for nothing ( a negative emotion). That’s the real tragedy.

 

 

Self-remembering is not a sensation. William Blake said, “I look through my eyes, not with them.”

*

The sequence is either for retrieving Presence from imagination or for strengthening Presence.

*

It is a great mistake to equate fame with consciousness.
